People in My Life

Sometimes I meet people who touch something within me and make me feel, feel profoundly, and remind me who I really am.

I meet people with whom I form wonderful heartfelt connections and somehow, suddenly, I hear my heartbeat as if for the first time; hearing my own rhythm puts me in touch with myself and makes me believe that everything is possible.

Such people follow their own hearts so fiercely that I have no choice, but do the same regardless of what it takes. Most importantly, they see my light and reflect it back to me. And by doing so they always inspire me to be more.

And I think it’s incredibly important to have such people in life, a privilege really. Otherwise, when I forget, who will remind me to challenge myself, to go into the unknown and explore the unexplored? Who will look deeply into my eyes, see my soul and dare to ask questions that I don’t dare to ask myself? Who will challenge my way of thinking or show me colour when I only see black and white?

And whilst it’s ultimately up to me to find the true self and stay on the path of self-discovery, personally, I’m full of admiration and feel incredibly grateful to have met such warriors of life. They will always have a special place in my heart. 💖

Find Your Colour

One thing has become really blatantly obvious to me lately. And that is how much we, human beings, give in to fear. How often we say ‘no’ instead of saying ‘yes’ to things we really would love to experience in life – be it a crazy adventure, experience, job/career opportunity, moving to another country or perhaps starting or ending a relationship.

And most of these no’s arise either because we don’t know what they will lead us to or we believe in needing to sacrifice something (usually what we’ve grown to be quite comfortable with) in order to have our dreams.

When we go into the unknown, every ‘yes’ requires taking a risk, yet not everyone is ready to take a leap of faith and let go of what they have been holding onto for so long. So where does that leave us? I guess the answer is predictable – stuck in what we’ve always known.

Personally, I find that it’s important to choose what you’re after in life. Colouring your days in grey, waiting for a better tomorrow to come, or experiencing life in many of its vibrant colours? And perhaps by doing so finding your colour that shines only for you, ever so brightly and illuminates your path wherever you go.

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather risk and fall greatly than settle somewhere I don’t belong. After all, smooth seas don’t make good sailors.

And if you want to experience a shift in your life, but don’t know where to start, here’s my advice – make an intention to find and live your true calling. Connect with the intention every single day and ask the universe to guide you. And then, be receptive enough to see it when it shows up, because you never know in what form it will present itself to you. Choose magic, because what you seek is seeking you.
